How Fitting for FMMS
As part of the FMMS/CIPS solution being provided to ACT Emergency Services, there was a need to extend the asset register with a simple way of including those assets that while needing to be counted and recorded, did not need to undergo maintenance activities in the same way that facility, rotable and certified items do via job management.
The Online Workshop accomodated this by developing a new capability called Facility Fittings has been introduced as per the screen shot below:
If this screen looks familiar, it should be. It is based on the Applications Parts List whereby spares for a specific facility can be identified as catalogued items with associated quantities. Facility fittings are defined in a similar manner with the difference being that these catalogued items and associated quantities have actually been issued to this facility item from inventory:
